A carousel is a Pin with multiple images. They can swipe through the different images (or cards) directly from the feed. Or, they can tap on the carousel and swipe through each card and its corresponding site, essentially swiping through the different landing pages.

A “card” is a UI design pattern that groups related information in a flexible-size container visually resembling a playing card.

carousel is mostly and majorly used for Instagram and cards is a container for a few pieces of information which roughly resemble a playing card in size and shape, and is intended as a linked, short representation of a conceptual unit.
